We are seeking a Business Development Lead who can combine business acumen with solution delivery and ownership skills. This role demands someone who can immerse themselves in client businesses, identify opportunities for optimization, and work with our technical teams to deliver practical solutions that transform operations.


Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Business Understanding

  • Visit client organizations to gain a deep understanding of operations, workflows, and business models.
  • Build trust-based relationships with client stakeholders by acting as a long-term partner.
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and business growth opportunities.

Solution Delivery & Product/Project Ownership

  • Translate client needs into structured solution requirements and ensure end-to-end delivery.
  • Act as the owner for projects—overseeing scope, timelines, and successful deployment.
  • Collaborate with product/technical teams to design, customize, and implement solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are business-ready, scalable, and aligned with client goals.

Business Growth & Strategic Development

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and cross-sell/upsell areas.
  • Develop business proposals, ROI analyses, and strategic recommendations for clients.
  • Support expansion of Sagelens’ presence in new industries and client accounts.

Change Management & Adoption

  • Lead change management initiatives at client sites to ensure smooth adoption of solutions.
  • Work closely with client employees to reduce resistance and drive digital transformation.
  • Conduct training and hand-holding sessions to support end-users.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in solution delivery, product management, or project ownership.
  • Proven track record in consulting, operations improvement, or technology-driven business development.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complexity.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple client engagements and project deliveries.
  • Industry exposure in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or procurement is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to client sites.
